Family tree – Julius Union (Gramps) moved from Arkansas to St. Louis in 1955 to give his children the opportunity to get a better education. Married the late Levator White Union who preceded him in death; to this union 8 children were born. He later married Pernellia Williams Union; to this union 9 children were born. (see children below and how you can have a copy of the entire history written and recorded)
Cross on the books – The cross means to keep Christ in higher learning. Connects us to our heritage: We believe in a Living God through His son Jesus Christ – “Christians”
College Degree / Vocational Certificate – To encourage this generation and future ones to set a goal of achieving a college degree or vocational certification. The JPUSF will assist with monthly monetary disbursements to those who enroll annually.
Empowerment, Enrichment, Excellence – To understand our legacy. We come from a family lineage that maintained a core set of beliefs and values; responsibility, honesty, respect and strong work ethics. When these traits are embraced, the 3 “E”s are manifested within our lives and our legacy is paramount, continuing in future generation
